This almost ten kilometer long family-friendly circular hiking trail past the Gertelbach waterfalls offers you plenty of panoramic views. You hike to the Wiedenfelsen and Hertahütte viewpoints, which offer you a wonderful Black Forest panorama. You look out over the surrounding densely forested mountains and down to the Rhine plain.

If you feel hungry every now and then, you can stop at the Waldgasthaus Kohlbergwiese. For little hikers there is a large adventure playground with a watercourse and a play area away from traffic.

Hike with good friends. The waterfalls had a lot of water and the atmosphere with fog, sun and the sound of the water was just fantastic. Always nice, this hike.
