Alyth Packhorse Bridge

Highlight • Historical Site

Alyth is a pretty town on the southern slopes of the Forest of Alyth. With a history stretching back to the 11th century, there is lots to see, including quaint packhorse bridges and the crumbling remains of the first church, which now stand as a series of arches within the town. You will also find a good choice of accommodation and places to eat and drink.

Peel Farm Café and Farm Shop

Highlight • Parking

Peel Farm has an excellent cafe serving great coffee, homemade cakes and light meals. It's open every day but with seasonal opening times.

There is also a farm shop where you can grab supplies if you don't fancy a cafe stop.

Loch of Lintrathen

Highlight • Natural

This local nature reserve managed by the Scottish Wildlife Trust is an important habitat for birdlife. In the summer it's home to breeding songbirds and during the winter it's an important stop off for wintering birds including Greylag Geese. There are two wildlife hides around the loch.
You can ride all around the loch on the road loop.
