Elie Chainwalk is an exhilarating 1,640 foot (500 m) long scramble along a series of chains attached to the cliffs. It takes around two hours to complete and you will need a good level of agility, confidence, fitness, technical ability and a definite spirit of adventure. However, solidly-planted steel chains, perfectly-placed footholds, and easy-to-grip volcanic rock make it a manageable challenge for most adventurers. PLEASE NOTE the chains are submerged at high tide so make sure you set of at least TWO HOURS BEFORE high tide.
