This route was planned by komoot.
I came across this route on Komoot. I have walked in this area many times, but this route is one of the most beautiful so far. I could have taken many more photos if I hadn't had an impatient four-legged friend with me 😅. A very varied route with forest, landscape and beautiful flower meadows with blooming wild orchids 😍
📍Hezingen, Vasse, Ootmarsum, Springendal 📌 Parking lot Brandtorenweg 4 Hezingen 🗺️ Facebook group I Like to Walk 🥾 18.3 kilometers ⌚ 4 hours, 14 minutes 🐶 Leash welcome ☕ Plenty in the surrounding places, including the watermill of Bels ❤️ Autumn colors 🙁 If I really have to mention something: boggyness 🇳🇱 Overijssel, Twente The above group asked for a route to enjoy the beautiful autumn colors. I got a lot of nice tips there and this morning at half past eight I started this Springendal Forest Ranger Route. Wonderful. Last summer we had a wonderful walk around here on one of the hottest days, and today was just as wonderful 🍂. Beautiful forest paths, beautiful views, nice twists, wonderfully quiet, what more could you want..... There were some swampy parts here and there, so I couldn't follow the route at the sources, but walking around them was just as beautiful! It's a shame that the sign is not placed 5 meters forward, that would have saved me a soggy shoe and sock 😅. Missed a road at 3.5 kilometers and then at 4.4 kilometers the route was also incorrect, but it is self-explanatory. I'm not into geological history, nor into the most beautiful photos. I walk to walk and enjoy the nature around me. My descriptions therefore do not go further than how I experience the area with a tip here and there. Sometimes I tell people what brings me to the area in question and almost always I take some (overview) photos. I often chat about it and here it is for today: On the way there I saw a mini library in Vasse, so I stopped in on the way back. This one can rightly call itself a book house 🥰! What a nice one, so many books! So I traded with my exchange bag that is always in the car. Then back home where it is as messy as usual with handymen, intruders and coffee drinkers.
Very nice walk in the Springendal. Started at the mill of Bels, where you can park for free. I walked counterclockwise. All paths were walkable. Unfortunately, given the time of day I walked, I had to deal with mud and large puddles on many paths. I could walk around these, but with some I had to be careful and walk carefully along the edge. There were enough benches to rest on. It still became 19 km. I will walk this again, but then in the fall and vice versa. There will be a video of it on my YouTube channel Frans fietst en wandelt.
Today I went to the Netherlands with my sister and went for a lovely hike. 😊🥾🥾It was raining in the morning☔️, but it stopped by the time we started our hike. What more could you want...🙂👍 The area there is perfect for hiking. 🌱🪶🌿
Total distance is 20km. I started at parking lot Hooidijk 74, 7662 PB Hezingen. Nice break stop at Watermill Bels and Hoeve Springendal. Also a herd of sheep is present on the rift.
Today we put on our 🥾🥾 hiking boots for a route through the beautiful Twente landscape near Tubbergen. The Springendal is a wonderfully diverse nature reserve with fens, 🦆 forests, and meadows that offer stunning views through the rolling hills. At Hoeve Springendal, we took a break for coffee and apple pie, which tasted delicious. ☕️ The route mainly follows forest and sandy paths, which are a bit muddy in places; it's a stream area (Mosbeek) and therefore a water-rich area along the border with Germany. The parking lot is best reached via the Hooidijk. The parking lot is located on Brandtorenweg, but driving along this sandy road is not recommended as it is full of deep potholes and holes.🙈
