This route was planned by komoot.
Lando and I were drawn to the Netherlands again, just across the border. When we arrived, I was worried that we wouldn't be able to enjoy the trip because the car park was really full. But all the day-trippers dispersed quickly and easily. And we had a wonderful walk. The start of spring has reached us everywhere. I hope the photos capture it. We saw butterflies and lots of insects. The birds sang the whole time. We discovered toads in a one-man bunker, which I wasn't expecting. We learned something above the survey on a hill. And discovered Kabauter on a tree trunk while partying. We enjoyed every meter of the great, varied paths on the tour suggested by Komoot.
The route is fun, challenging slopes and descents. You won't encounter any wildlife here, but you will encounter many tame (people). I started at 7 am. Almost nowhere on the route do you really get away from civilization. The route also often touches the (provincial) roads and I met many people who were walking their dogs. The small bunkers are interesting, one of which is equipped with a periscope. The surroundings can be called nice and I prefer the silence, the wonder of the beauty of the surroundings. Unfortunately I didn't find that here. The route itself is easy, except for a few points. There are outliers and those are the climbs and descents. The ground is quite uneven and that makes it fun. Let's see where the walk will take me next week. I always enjoy myself in nature anyway. Wonderful.
Based on Komoot route: https://www.komoot.com/nl-nl/smarttour/e1014298110/bergherbos-wandelen-in-onontdekt-nederland?ref=wdd Had to make a few detours because the original route can no longer be walked in its entirety. Some paths are no longer there. A nice route through forest and hilly country, requires some conditions because you often have to climb the hill.
