This is the only waymarked trail in the UK!
A spectacular trail climbs very steeply through a wide variety of habitats from beautiful ancient pine forests to a barren, ice-scraped plateau of quartz rocks. The views are fantastic. And although threatening clouds we had dry weather!

Lot'sof scrambling on the way up. It's doable, but only when dry and with hiking shoes. The youngest (6) needed help up and down, would recommend age 6 (when trained, was similar to a route we did in Norway last year) We made 4 breaks on the way up and needed about 4 hours in total.
