Cycling

The Vesper tour is the ideal opportunity to get to know the culinary side of Kraichgau-Stromberg. The towns you cycle through offer you a variety of cozy cafes and rustic restaurants. On the way you will find many places with a wonderful view, where you can enjoy a nice rest. On the 44-kilometer tour itself, you have to overcome some longer climbs - this is to ensure that the calories do not feel good for you in the long term.

The Vesper tour starts in Sulzfeld, which you can easily reach from Karlsruhe and Heilbronn by S-Bahn. After you have driven through the town, the first climb to Ravensburg begins. From the top you have a fabulous view of the hilly landscape. After a long descent you come to Eppingen. In the picturesque city center with its many half-timbered houses, you will find several cafés and a small coffee roastery, which is known for delicious coffee and homemade cakes.

It continues hilly. You always master longer climbs. Above you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramas. Wine is also grown on many hills. The leaves produce a colorful play of colors in every season, especially in autumn, when you can also snack on the ripe grapes. Of course you can also taste the wonderful wine in the traditional broom inns along the way.

Ravensburg Castle is one of the most important remaining castles in the Kraichgau region. From the top, you have a magnificent view of the surrounding landscape.

Also special is the wine that grows around the castle hill: it has been documented as being cultivated here since 1251.

November 1, 2024,Eppingen - Vesper-Tour
Simply adapted the "Vesper Tour" from Komoot and set off on this autumnal November 1st. A really beautiful tour through the districts of Heilbronn, Pforzheim and Karlsruhe. We really enjoyed it!

Showing Translation

In Komoot I once saved themed bike tours in the Kraichgau-Stromberg under Collections. I wanted to ride one of the tours today: the “Vesper Tour”. It was nice - and yes, the tour led, as before, from the steepest side to the Ravensburg 🤪.
