The Weser-Bever-Höhenweg is a very beautiful circular route that mainly leads through the forest and is therefore also suitable in summer when temperatures are higher. The paths are very pleasant with little asphalt. I can only recommend the tour. Especially in the next few weeks, when the leaves change color, the tour is certainly very worthwhile. Everything is currently very green 😃.
A beautiful, challenging and varied hiking trail 👌🌾
Today was supposed to be the next stage of the Ruhrhöhenweg: a look at the weather app stopped me from going west 🌧️😅 So I looked for another hiking tour in my list and rediscovered this one. The weather app promised sun and 25 degrees until at least 3 p.m. - so off we went... A beautiful hiking tour through forests, fields and meadows with some steep climbs. I haven't seen as many butterflies as today for a long time 🦋🤩 and it wasn't even the butterfly trail 🤷🏻♀️ Drove back in Beverungen with 27 degrees blazing sun, arrived back home at 23 degrees and rain showers - I would say everything was done right 😉 ⏯️ https://www.relive.cc/view/vKv21oKDp4q My hiking shoes survived the first big test - no blisters or pressure points 😁 The hiking holiday can come soon... Have a nice Sunday 🍀😘
Even the last Thursday in April offered 🌞 sunshine all day long. A super hiking day, even though I know that agriculture and forestry desperately need water. 🙄 A day like this, not too warm, is probably best suited for the longest circular hiking trail in the area of the town of Beverungen (which in the south also runs a few kilometers into the area of our neighboring town Borgentreich 😉) and which is named after the Weser and its small tributary Bever. The Weser-Bever-Höhenweg is scenically varied: it offers long stretches through magnificent beech forests, great distant views (especially near Haarbrück), sights such as the pilgrimage church Dalhausen and the Klus Eddessen, topographical variety with considerable altitude meters and lots of fresh air. 🤗 However, you almost only walk on gravel forest paths (which can also become a bit monotonous) and have no seating options for long stretches. 🙄 The signage is excellent! A particularly detailed description can be read here: www.teutoburgerwald.de/natur/in-der-natur/tour/weser-bever-hoehenweg
"The socks are smoking, but it's done". It took us eight hours for the Weser-Bever-Höhenweg - it was enough 🥵😳. Some sections of the route are very beautiful, but the path from Beverungen (Selsberg - Schützhütte) to behind Roggenthal not a bank, no view - only four hours forest path and trees, trees .... A bit too little for this tourist flagship. For all those who still want to hike this tour, here is the official link https://www.weserbergland-tourismus.de/mobile/de/tour/themenweg/weser-bever-hoehenweg/6069923/ My advice: We started the tour on Haarbrück in beautiful Höhendorf, I can only recommend it and if you want to eat and drink something afterwards, you can do so very well in the Kornhaus 😋
The first half was, in keeping with the weather, more of a mountain and valley path with coarse gravel without any significant views through the forest. It was really beautiful around Dahlhausen, with the limestone meadows and the sheep and goats. Then agar areas, but with a great view, especially a lovingly designed place with the panorama roller and an artistically designed garden. Had something.
