Descend the Galibier via the old unpaved route down. The surface is rough and technical, with a mountain bike you are most at home here. But a gravel bike with wide tires should also work.

Trail Reviews

Grégory Freychet
July 14, 2024, Galibier Off (Epic)

What can I say this evening after so many impressions, emotions and sensations felt? The fatigue is such that it is difficult to find the words. Need some time and rest for the process of assimilating it all. Maybe tomorrow I will be more talkative... Enjoy the photos of this epic map and you will understand :) Thanks to Thomas @Thomas Guérin, another (local) gravel enthusiast, for accompanying me today, it was great. UPDATE: between the Drayères refuge and the Seuil des Rochilles be ready to push and carry for 3km and 300hm.
