Very gravel route from and to Briançon. Exit the city by the Izoard pass road before turning towards Font-Christiane and the Y building then the Trois Têtes fort. Passage through the Névache valley via tracks. Steep climb towards the military road leading to the Granon pass and the Lenlon fort. The latter is worth the detour: originality of the construction, the Boyard Alpin, and for the superb view at its feet. The arrival at the pass by the old military road is very pleasant. No fountains on the path after leaving the valley.

On the menu of the day: The Col du Granon! After having wiped the "worried" glances of the premises as for our load, we launch out in the prayers slopes. You have to admit, this collar is a monster. 10 kilometers with slopes between 9 and 10%, that does not leave us indifferent! The passage above 2000 meters is both sumptuous and difficult. After a few breaks in saving breaths we reach the famous sign of 2413 meters! (@popynes will pass the head of the pass after a memorable last kilometer). The breathtaking views from the top give us a nice break. We then leave by the old military track authorized for cycling. This sublime track gives way to a more bumpy path that takes us down to the village of Granon then to a return on the road to Briançon.
