It consecrates - because on this 60-kilometer gravel tour we drive along the Isar and past some beautifully situated ponds.

Let's start at the S-Bahn station in Icking. From there we let ourselves roll down steeply to the banks of the Isar. The track leads over the bridge of the Isar canal and we've already arrived in the Pupplinger Au, where we warm up again on asphalt. But soon we turn left into a forest, pass Neufahrn near Egling and climb the Veiglberg, a very nice place for gravelling. From here, a small trail descends onto the gravel forest road, which we follow to Ascholding. One of the most beautiful sections of the tour, enjoy!

Shortly after Ascholding we turn sharp left directly at the Weihermühle and catch a glimpse of the Harmatinger Weiher to our right. After only a few kilometers we pass the Siegertshofer Weiher. Unfortunately, bathing is not allowed here, but the small bench at the hut with a jetty offers space for a short rest. It continues on gravel roads. We leave the Mooshamer Weiher on our left. Shortly after Thanning, we turn onto a small trail that leads directly past Thanninger Weiher for two kilometers. Here you are happy if you have not put on the very thin Gravel tires.

We continue through the small Bavarian villages of Attenham, Sonnenham and Eulenschwang until we finally pass the Deininger Moor with the Deininger Weiher. We follow a small trail along the Gleißenbach and pass the Munich Golf Club via Kreuzpullach, Ödenpullach and Großdingharting, where another great Gravelautobahn takes us to the Isarwehr Canal. From there it goes straight back to the starting point of our tour via the Aumühle.

Deininger Moor

Highlight • Natural

The Deininger Moos is considered the most valuable moor in the district of Munich. Here one can rarely spot plants such as the carnivorous sundew and see animals that are only found in the bog. Because the area is a nature reserve, please stay on the trails.

Super Gravel Tour, brilliant mixture of gravel, asphalt and single trails, constantly up and down, wonderful. 😁 Many thanks to the planner Sara Hallbauer 👍👏👏👏, who posted more tours on Komoot. We will follow them too 😂
