Trail Reviews

David
July 30, 2024, LES BARONNIES PROVENÇALES

Hello friends, a beautiful walk in the Provençal baronies, with a succession of small passes, very hot in the morning I had to stop several times to re-inflate the rear tire slow puncture

Around 3 p.m., a quick solo lap over the Col d'Ey and then on my own to Sainte Jalle. The route led via Curnier and Les Pilles (finely decorated places) to the Col de la Croix Rouge. The ascent is really easy, the descent afterwards is rather intoxicating. The Rhone wine-growing areas followed on olive plantations. You reach Mérindol-les-Oliviers with constant ups and downs. One last ascent and you shoot down again in fabulous serpentines towards Buis-les-Baronnies.

Since the tour yesterday was just great, we did it again today. This resulted in completely new and deepening impressions. The Mont Ventoux clearly determines the scenery in the second part of the journey. Be careful, the short climbs in the vineyards are not entirely without!
