Crucially for mountain bikers, it also includes challenging singletrack and alpine sections, often characterized by granite formations, making for a technical ride.

What are the best times of year to mountain bike this trail?

Given the challenging nature and potential for heat, the best times to ride are typically spring (April-June) and autumn (September-October). During these seasons, the weather is generally milder and more conducive to strenuous outdoor activity, allowing you to fully enjoy the scenic beauty without extreme temperatures.

Nice, short but difficult MTB tour with concrete ramps over 20%. Great view at the summit. Descent with a lot of scree.

After the ferry arrived in Sardinia, we soon set off on our first hike to Paladimonti. The climb was still quite rough, but we were a well-balanced group. Once we reached the top at the fire station hut, we were able to enjoy the magnificent view. It was pouring with rain as we set off. So we decided to climb back up to the hut and wait under cover until the rain stopped. After 15 minutes, we were able to enjoy the trail down in sunshine.

Nice ride with spectator views 🤩 some stretches in the part after the quite challenging pools, and in the end you have to climb over a gate found closed 😅

Very nice but steep bike tour up to 20%++ on gravel or concrete roads with a fantastic view. First we briefly visited the town of San Teodoro and then into the steep valley. Be careful: this valley is also open to cars. First we turned left and walked down to the small pools, which, however, appeared a little brownish due to the lack of water. The waterfall was dry. After that we took the right path and when we reached the top we were rewarded with a wonderful view. A ranger was also there with his quad, who works there from March to the end of October. Caution is advised when going downhill, as there is sand and stones on the concrete in the bends. All in all a wonderful experience for bikers who want to explore something special.

Very steep, but worth it. Great view. The paths themselves are not difficult. 🚵🏼

Very demanding tour with several climbs, some of which are very steep, to a great vantage point.
