This beautiful and varied hike led into the Parc national des Cévennes. The weather was already very warm, but from time to time a gentle breeze offered some cooling. The wooded sections also provided protection from the scorching sun. Thus, oven-like sections were kept within limits. The ascent was rewarded with wonderful panoramic views.
