As good as the marking/signage is over the mountain, it is weak along the river. This makes things unnecessarily difficult, because many supposed paths over the rocks do not lead any further. In addition, almost all of the trails that could be used for orientation are not even marked on the meager "hiking map" from Komoot Premium. But the tour was scenically beautiful and promising. At over 30°C in the gorge it was just a lot more strenuous than expected.
Be careful at km 9, it is not possible to pass along the edge of the Gardon at this time. You have to climb a wall carefully
Tour done in July at 37⁰C. There are few trees that provide shade, but there is continuous access to the Gardon from km 8. Cooling off in the cool, clear water is a real treat. However, take enough sunscreen and water with you
Take care. Due to heavy rains these last days, the Gardon had high waters. On the way back through the valley I had to climb over some rocks and further on go through the water.. so check water levels before going.. but al in all a wonderful hike.
Beautiful walk. Sometimes a lot of climbing. Handles and steps have been placed here and there.
Be careful if you follow my route. The Gardon was angry, so some sections become tricky!
