This route was planned by komoot.
Ascent and descent via the military road. Spectacular the last 4 km, albeit a bit more demanding to pedal.
Spectacular tour! 10km constant climb 1000mt D + uneven ground but all pedalable, overhangs and meadows, dolomites and fir trees as far as the eye can see in the Natural Park of the Belluno Dolomites 😊. Arrival in 2000 at the Rifugio del Piaz, also the end of the Alta Via # 2, next summer Grand Tour
An overwhelmingly ascent with a stony bottom, it requires an often active guide. But the slopes almost never excessive make it entirely pedalable on the other hand
It starts from the parking lot on the Croce d'Aune pass, the forest road that climbs towards the Ref. Dal Piaz is spectacular and offers many panoramic views. Arrived at the refuge you can refresh yourself, nothing is missing. Continuing behind it, after a few meters you reach a fork, from there an extraordinary scenario opens up. Col di luna - Cima Dodici - Mt. Pietena - Vette Piccole surround Malga Vette Grandi. From there you return to the refuge and begin the descent.
Very long climb, 10 km all on a very bumpy dirt road, MTB S1 level. Anyway, the road that climbs with many hairpin bends up to the refuge is very beautiful.
Departure from Passo Croce D'aune, climb first through a beautiful forest, then along a beautiful road with many hairpin bends and with a breathtaking view! Arrival at Rifugio Dal Piaz 1,993 m. Then we continue a stretch towards Malga Vette Grandi and then towards Malga Monsampiano *which unfortunately we were unable to reach due to the rain*!!
Spectacular military road that climbs to the Dal Piaz refuge from the Croce d'Aune pass. Read the full story: https://www.lifeintravel.it/rifugio-dal-piaz-in-bici-spettacolare-salita-nelle-vette-feltrine.html
