This route was planned by komoot.
The first third of the tour was on a main road with moderate traffic, the rest mostly on small sandy roads right by the lake, past a lot of bathing beaches, where people spread out on their own loungers. The places Montefiascone and Bolsena are very worth seeing.
Our route took us to Lake Bolsena in Capodimonte. We had a great parking spot right by the water and cycled around the lake. The paths were sometimes adventurous, through bamboo grass, which closed over our heads like a cave, past olive plantations, gravel paths and a few climbs. It was a fantastic MTB tour with a pit stop at a beach bar. We ate delicious, delicious fish.
Tour around the lake. Beautiful views and many possibilities for nice stops for coffee, lunch or aperitif.
The first six kilometers require strength, endurance, and stamina. I pushed for part of the way... This section is a hiking trail with large steps. Some gravel sections have steep climbs, and at this time of year, it's very wet. At the end, the last 4 kilometers before Bolzena are very busy...!!!
