No. 54 of my #100komootwanders_2022 challenge. 💛 Saturday 17th September 2022. The Ben Lawers Mountain Range Meall Greigh (1001m) Meall Garbh (1018m) An Stuc (1018m) It was a group hike of 12... On a dry, cloudy but really windy day. Above 700m the wind gusts were horrendous with very little shelter particularly on the first two mountains. Because of that 6 departed back to Lawers Hotel after the 1st summit and the remaining 6 completed the circuit. The scramble up An Stuc wasn't as bad as anticipated but it's definitely better to ascend it than tackle a descent. Also the descent back to the car can be rather boggy especially alongside Lochan nan cat.

I used the best weather window to walk this route as I remember my last descent down the north-east face of An Stuc was very iffy last time I was here! I reversed the route and enjoyed it far more as a result 😃 Awesome view to Ben Lawers
