At the Teltow Canal, the
Barges pulled by locomotives. There are hardly any remains of tracks - only at the bridge head near the former Teltow shipyard in Zehlendorf can the last traces of the tracks on which the towing locomotive drove along the Teltow Canal be found.
During the Second World War, the towing facilities were destroyed and after the end of the war, some of them were dismantled by the victorious powers. Since shipping was also interrupted, reconstruction was out of the question. This ended the days of towing along the canal. Of the original 20 locomotives, only two remain. A locomotive is in the Technology Museum in Berlin.
