Bench by the River Stour

Highlight • River

The bench by the Stour really is a nice spot if you need a stop. There's a tarmac path leading to it if you don't fancy off-roading across the grass.

The climb from Nayland kicks up to 10% before descending and climbing again into Stoke-by-Nayland. The lane is very narrow though and the surface in poor condition, with numerous potholes as well as large piles of loose sand and stones, particularly on the corner at the bottom of the middle descent. Caution strongly advised if you're on road tyres.

Quiet Lanes of Dedham Vale

Highlight • Cycleway

The route meanders through the Suffolk countryside, passing through hamlets along the way, making use of tiny and ancient lanes.

Kersey Ford

Highlight • Bridge

Very pretty Suffolk village.
Extreme caution if you’re thinking of riding through the ford, it gets very slippery. My advice is to use the foot bridge!

Ideal spot to enjoy a peaceful village. Café with a great selection.
Nice to sit down next to the beautiful river.
