Strathy Point Lighthouse

Highlight • Monument

Strathy Point lighthouse was the first in Scotland to be specifically built for electrical operation. Completed by 1958, the 250 Watt light-bulb had an incredible range of up to some 26 miles. It was decommissioned in 2012 and it is now holiday accomodation.
