Square and mound with a chapel from 1928.

Highlight • Monument

"In the square in Zaborów (Masovian Voivodeship), between the church and the school, there is a statue of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. It stands on a mound built in 1928.

The initiator of the so-called of the independence chapel was Jan Kujawski, a teacher at a local school. He built the mound together with his disciples. He himself funded the pedestal and the commemorative plaque. The eagle-shaped mosaic was made by teachers. The statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary was donated by the owners of the surrounding estates - Gabryel Wodziński from Zaborówek and Zofia Goldstand from Zaborów...."

St. Anne’s Church in Zaborów, 1791

Highlight • Religious Site

Church of St. Anne in Zaborów – a parish church, built in 1791 in Zaborów according to the design of Hilary Szpilowski on the site of earlier temples.

The parish in Zaborów was erected here in the 14th or 15th century – the first records have been lost. In 1465, the Zaborów parish priest Jan is mentioned, and in the same year Bishop Andrzej Bniński donated a sheaf tithe to the parish. During his visitation in 1670, Bishop Święcicki wrote: de erectionis huius Ecclesiae ex antiquo Nulla notitia. The first wooden church burned down in 1700 and in the same year a new one, also wooden, was built, thanks to the efforts of Father Glinka and it survived until 1790.
