Lôn Gwyrfai Lakeside Path

The path along the lake is very nice. Part of it is actually a kind of dam you walk on, with a barrier on both sides so you have to stay on the path. Because the dam is elevated, you have a good view of the lake and the surroundings.

This expansive forest is a treasure trove of walking and cycling trails, photographic opportunities and wildlife in the heart of Eryri National Park (Snowdonia).
You can enjoy breathtaking views of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), picnic by the secluded lake Llyn Llywelyn and listen to the sound of the trains from the Old Welsh Highland Railway, which run through the forest on their way from Caernarfon to Porthmadog.
You can also go horse riding.
