Railway Cliff

Highlight • Natural Monument

I was not quite sure what to expect, but afterwards it is clear why this rock formation is so called. Photos and description are far from sufficient. You have to "hike"!

After a good meal in the Dahner-PWV-Hütte we drove on to Bruchweiler Bärenbach and took the Napoleon-Steig under our soles.
The beginning was fantastic, many narrow paths and sandstone rocks without end, including the railway and Napoleon rocks.
After about two-thirds of the way, forest paths were more popular, but overall a nice tour that we really liked!

The tour can be roughly divided into three parts. Part 1, with its rocks, is a dream. Part 2 is a very beautiful hiking trail. Part 3 is okay. All in all, though, a beautiful hike! 😃

Today we were out and about in suboptimal weather.

So you could also test the rain gear...

A very beautiful, varied, and highly recommended tour. The route leads to spectacular rock formations, and you hike around and through them. In the valleys, you cross open meadows. We took our lunch break at the PWV hut at Schmalstein. Delicious food and a well-deserved wine spritzer at reasonable prices. The very well-marked tour starts in Bruchweiler-Bärenbach at the hiking …

That was a really nice introductory tour when I arrived in Dahn 😊
The sun even came out at the end! This is how an Easter hiking weekend can start!

Today we were finally on the road together with Petra again 😊. We had chosen the Napoleonsteig. 😀. It was initially uphill. After a few meters we inspired a collapsed bunker. The entrance was narrow and I hung myself with my backpack first 🙈😂 It was very interesting inside, stalactites were hanging from the ceiling 😲. Then we went further …

11.3 km April weather (wind, drizzle, sleet and some sun), but no matter the round on Napoleon-Steig was great.
