Got here first thing before sunrise and the birdsong and peacefulness is amazing. I was treated to various bird murmurations as well which were stunning. It's a hard packed gravel area although the 1st part can get a bit muddy.

As a cyclist, this route offers a fantastic alternative to the busy A507, linking up with the A507 Cycle Path. It's an excellent east-to-west connector via quieter country roads. It's unsurfaced but passable on most bikes.
