Belvedere Viewpoint and Hotel

Belvedér is the name of a terrace with a "grotto" on a high sandstone cliff, which was built about 160 m above the Elbe at the beginning of the 18th century. At first it was mainly used to entertain the aristocracy, who usually came from Bynovec by carriage on the "Carriage Way". In 1841 a simple wooden restaurant was built here, which was later replaced by the current stone house in 1888/89, which is still used as an inn for tourists to this day. The Belvedér viewing terrace was connected to the castle in Binsdorf (Bynovec) by the so-called "Allee" (Knížecí cesta).

Today's church was built in 1757/1758 in place of an older church. All that remains of this is an impressive baroque tombstone, which can be found today on the southern wall of the church. In 1906 the church burned down because people forgot to put out the candles. It was restored in 1907, but almost nothing could be saved from the baroque interior. She was overhauled in 1959 but is not in good condition today.

There are some very old graves in the cemetery surrounding the church.
