Redlake China Clay Settling Tanks

Part of the old China clay works at Redlake. Disused since the 1930s, most of the old structures were blown up by the army- which explains the piles of concrete rubble still present at Redlake.

Lovely open moorland. Doable on a gravel bike in either direction especially if dry but it’s very much not a smooth track. A classic Dartmoor way - decent in places but varying between bog and rutted boulders for the rest.
