Tuckenhay Waterfront on Bow Creek

Highlight • Viewpoint

Tuckenhay is a small hamlet of waterfront houses on Bow Creek. While small, there is still enough room for two pubs in Tuckenhay.

Its history is in papermaking but now you are more likely to see passing kayaks and paddleboards on the tidal creek.

Particularly beautiful in the Autumn when the riverbank is swathed in red and gold.

Tuckenhay Village

Highlight • Settlement

Very picturesque little village in the Dart Valley. One road leads in, one out. Parking was easy at the pub, outside of peak season.
If you cross the bridge in the middle of the village, a small hiking trail branches off that leads along the river bank - very beautiful!

The stepping stones are the last crossing point of the Harbourne River before it enters the tidal Bow Creek and flows into the Dart estuary. They are used on the John Musgrove Heritage Trail as well as for joining footpaths and avoiding having to walk upstream to the road bridge in Bow.
