Starting point directly in Matrei – just after the village, the surface is a bit rough – later it becomes a good forest road – albeit with "many" ski jumps from the mountain station down.

After the gondola station, continue a bit further towards the Glockner – unfortunately, the summit is shrouded in fog.

At the end of the week of touring in Matrei i.O. we make a detour to the Kals-Matreier-Törl before heading home in the afternoon. We mostly follow the signs up the Klauserberg. Once at the top, there is a magnificent panoramic view of the mountains of East Tyrol. Only the Großglockner is stubbornly shrouded in clouds.
