The western driveway from Dornbirn to the Bödele offers magnificent views over Dornbirn, the Rhine Valley and Lake Constance in the hairpin bends. Once you have reached the Losenpass, you have the opportunity to refresh yourself at the Berghof Fetz or the Alpenhotel Bödele. The east ramp opens up a wonderful panorama of the upper Bregenzerwald.

St. Mary's Chapel at Bödele

Highlight • Religious Site

Otto Hämmerle had this chapel built in 1905/06 in his holiday colony. Their style is reminiscent of Scandinavian village churches, since the design comes from a Nordic painter. The chapel was intended to enable Sunday services for the Hämmerle families and hotel guests, but also for those who lived in Schwarzenberg and for Sunday hikers.
In honor of Mary, the Ascension Day, August 15th, was chosen as the church consecration day and patron saint.
