Burcina Pond

Highlight • Lake

the pond has unfortunately been used over the years by reckless owners of dangerous American water turtles as an abandonment deposit. In 2023 it was cleaned and redeveloped with the capture of all alien reptiles dangerous for humans and the environment, in fact it is still empty in the photo. If you see the usual moron throwing the overgrown and no longer welcome "turtles" into the pond, don't hesitate to invite him to jump directly into the water as it would be re-qualified as food for reptiles and fish and will finally be useful for something!

Rhododendrons at Parco Burcina

Highlight • Forest

The 3-4m high Rhododendron trees Cover the whole Mountain slope! We were too early (end of April) so only some Azalees and the lovely Judas-trees were in flower. Also a great arborethum of phantastic old, big, beautiful trees and unforgettable phantastic smelling pine- and cedar- trees from all over the world. And phantastic views also. I guess the rhododendrons will be in full bloom end of may.

Dirt trail in Burcina Park

Highlight • Trail

Inside the Burcina-Felice Piacenza park nature reserve, often called Burcina park for short, a protected natural area of 57 hectares in extension, there is this splendid dirt road immersed in nature and among the trees. Cycling or walking here is truly wonderful!
