Today we hiked the Morscheid border trail. It's a beautiful, varied, and at times quite strenuous hike. We walked along paths, through forests, across meadows and fields, and through vineyards. There were also some lovely panoramic views – there's something for everyone. Best regards and have a nice evening! 😊 🙋🏻‍♀️

Today we drove to Morscheid in Ruwertal in the best weather (ok, the weather had starting difficulties for about 30 minutes). According to the Traumschleifen book, the path only has 74 points, but we think it should be a few more points, there are almost only paths, the view is also very nice, of course there may be a few …

We were pleasantly surprised by this 15 km long loop that we hiked on Saturday. Mainly narrow paths, fantastic views of the Ruwer Valley and a great infrastructure on both sides of the path make hikers happy here. In the evening we celebrated Sarah's birthday with Christiane and Werner from the YouTube channel WundervolleWanderwelten on the Mosel in Traben-Trabach.

We already had stage 26 (Trier variant) on the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig last September

admired this area and got to know the highlights Langenstein and Riveristalsperre.

And since this SHS tour, the anticipation of our dream loop project
(everybody should walk...!!!!)
to come back and enjoy the landscape and its peculiarities again.

This morning, I drove to Waldrach with my 🇩🇪Ticket and from there hiked the Morscheider Grenzpfad (Ts Morscheider Border Trail). The official starting point is in Morscheid near the cemetery, where there is plenty of parking. The tour is very varied, peppered with beautiful, root-covered and rocky singletrack. Surefootedness is required in some sections. From the high plateau, you have …

Very nice dream loop that can be walked well even in sunny weather, as a large part of the route runs in the forest. But you should have enough to drink with you. Unfortunately there are no refreshment points. The proportion of paths is very high, which we really liked. 👍

After making up for a sleep deficit accumulated over the week, the late morning was filled with pure sunshine and cool temperatures. In this weather, all other options for Sunday were no match for a "short" hike.

The Border Trail lives up to its name. A well-maintained path with a high proportion of trails and numerous benches.
Starting around midday …

A nice start to the new hiking year. 😊
Although... That's a lie, I had already done a New Year's round. 😄
Nice round WITHOUT rain. 🙏
