February 28, 2025,Enzklösterle: Enzursprung und Urwaldpfad
Back to winter... Short vacation in the Black Forest. From spring in the Palatinate we ended up in the snow-covered forest in Enzklösterle. A wonderful atmosphere. First we walked along the left bank of the Enz to its source in Gompelscheuer. It snowed every now and then on the way. So beautiful. We continued back. The path became narrow and …

Primeval forest?
In the Northern Black Forest?
Of course – just start your run in Enzklösterle from the parking lot at the spa.

Shortly after the start, you cross the "Große Enz" on a beautiful, even covered wooden bridge and then follow its merrily babbling stream on a gently ascending path.
Plenty of benches invite you to linger, unwind, and …

The Bärlochkar jungle tour near Enzklösterle is really reminiscent of a jungle. Ferns and many other plants grow up to 2 meters high on the left and right. Because between the small, rooty rustic path is just fun.

You can shorten or extend the tour to different lengths, so between 5-11 km are possible.

A varied circular hike from Enzklösterle in the Enz Valley to the source of the Enz in the town of Gompelscheuer. We parked at the sports field, near the trout farm, and walked the Gompelscheuer path, which mostly leads very idyllically along the water to the source of the Enz.
Another highlight is the subsequent section through a protected forest …

Found this really recommendable and beautiful tour "accidentally" on the internet.... Because we didn't start there until around 3:30 p.m. due to the hot temperatures, and absolutely (at the last minute 😄) the mega delicious fresh fish from the petersmühle trout farm (open Thursday and Sunday until 4 p.m.), we had to shorten the really great, varied tour a bit... …
