Cold valley

Highlight (Segment) • Lake

The Kaltentalseen are very idyllic. The path through the Kaltental up to the Alb leads past the historic Heidengraben. Once at the top, there are various interesting opportunities to return to the valley. For me, the old way from Erkenbrechtsweiler to Beuren is one of the best runs. The path starts steep, but still wide and then flows into a narrow path, which demands a lot of technology over a length of about 500 meters. Always a challenge for me, but also feasible for the moderately skilled.

Kaltentalhäusle (Villa Hügel)

Highlight • Historical Site

The imposing little house was built in 1884 in an exposed location. A detailed information board was put up for better understanding. The little house is locked, but you can catch a glimpse inside the ground floor from the back. Unfortunately not into the upper floor where the "shepherd's trysts" presumably took place.

November 14, 2025,Kaltental Seeburg Runde 😁 😉
Since I often finish work at noon on Fridays, I thought I'd take a quick trip I'd planned. But first, I spent 45 minutes raking leaves by my patio and then heading to the wood chipper. Then I finally got going when I got home. 🚵🚵😁😁

Shortly at the end of the week, a small round was quickly jetted.
Through the Kaltental ↗️ on the Alb to Hülben, via Grabenstetten, Hengen and Wittlingen over the Alb plateau, ↘️ into the valley to Seeburg, and through the Ermstal via the green path back to BU

After the 8er from last weekend could no longer be centered and the new set of wheels from DT Swiss are now mounted, a first small run-in lap was of course announced.
So it was easy going to the Alb and then back down to the valley via Grabenstetten and Wittlingen.
Wheelset ok 👌, but the rear disc rubs a …
