At Bad Oldesloe train station I started my circular hike along the Trave and - partly on boardwalks - through the Brenner Moor and Wolkenweher Niederung nature reserve.

I actually saw a kingfisher and was able to take pictures 😍🐦 unfortunately still relatively far away, but for the first time ever 😀
The weather was very nice, and in the afternoon the whole moor shone gold in the deep sun 🌅🥰

We started from a hiking car park near to Wolkenwehe (a nice place name!) to do two loops, each about 5 kilometers long, from there.

A church and a monastery are on our route. The former Vicelin Church, dating from 1150, was replaced in the 18th century by a late Baroque brick church, which captivated Wilfried and me with its interior.
