Scottish Highland cattle from Ganggerfeld

Highlight • Natural

A nice big area for the animals. These rustic cattle are always worth seeing.

A hundred years ago stagecoaches drove past here, today we hike through beautiful nature. There is also a rest area here

Felsentor Porphyry Rock Formation

Highlight • Natural Monument

Striking rock formations made of porphyrite. The rocks narrow a wide valley like a gate to a narrow passage. Impressive to look at!

Today again a hike through the beautiful Harz, past beautiful half-timbered buildings, wooden trains and castle ruins! A really very successful tour!

Since rain is forecast again for tomorrow, we spontaneously swapped our day's plans and used the beautiful day for a larger stamp tour. The starting point was the hiking parking lot in Neustadt, and we really liked the small town.

🥾🥾

Today we closed a red gap and went on an expedition into the animal kingdom 😅.

Since we didn't want to drive to this corner again, we made an exception and moved the car twice.
The first goal was the Heimkehle. On the way I had to do emergency braking because a deer crossed our path... it was a …

December 31, 2023 - New Year's Eve

What could be better than going on a little tour on the last day of the year? Absolutely nothing.

This time it was very relaxed. The stamps 098, 099 (Goethe in the Harz), 100 and 218 were bagged.

@Deleted User Thank you. I wish you the same. It's only three days. 😃 Best, Melli

Wonderful autumn weather (at the moment, it's still unimaginable that it will be so bad tomorrow).
The climb to the ruins is tough but doable.
The view is definitely worth it.
This tour would be good to extend with the Ebersburg ruins (HWN 100).
We planned to do that, but missed the turnoff. (See separate tour)
Definitely recommended

It was a wonderful weekend with @Dori 💚. Fitness and knees weakened on the last stage, evenly distributed.
If you like it and aren't there yet, send a follower request to Dori - the pictures are in the right place and the stages are neatly described

Today we went out again to do a little tour in the Harz. In beautiful weather we set off to the southern Harz to explore some castle ruins 🏰 Some of the paths were very adventurous, but also very idyllic! ☺️
