The rock hidden in the forest got its name from an old fox hole between the boulders. This is a nice place for a short rest.

Start at the free hiking parking lot. The tour first follows the water education trail. You quickly reach the forebay and cross the intermediate dam. It's wonderful how views of the Eibenstock reservoir open up again and again on the first section. The way back is a bit far from the reservoir, but it is also scenically beautiful. The tour …

The tour is not original but highly recommended. Except for a few places (frozen mud after the harvester was used), the paths are very easy to walk and there are always beautiful views of the dam. On the Saturday before the first Advent, it is worth visiting the lovingly organized Eibenstock fairy tale parade.

The entire route runs on cycle paths, some of which are asphalted. This means that you can also cycle there very well and extend the route a little and, for example, go around the dam.

Showing Translation

Although the paths were more like forest roads, they always offered beautiful views of the Eibenstock dam. Particularly beautiful in the area of the tunnel rocks, where you can still be well informed on the water educational trail.

Beautiful forest tour with beautiful views of the dam🥾

What a beautiful day with the best hiking weather. Canada feeling in the middle of the Ore Mountains 😉

A nice tour with Jana and Annette. The suggestion came from Jana and it was really great.

The weather is simply beautiful at the moment.

The Eibenstocker dam is a drinking water dam, so no buildings with bungalows or similar. Swimming 🏊‍♀️ or boating 🚤 are also not allowed.
