Klippenweg Ith

Highlight • Trail

You should plan a lot of time for the paths of this stage! There is a lot of beauty to discover and the paths are often rooty or rocky, sometimes a bit slippery. But they're fun, it never gets boring, unlike the first two stages.

Ockensen Water Tree

Highlight • Natural Monument

Is it a tree, a spring or something completely different? The curious water tree arouses curiosity. Finally, a sign explains the origin of the natural monument.

There is seating around it and there is an informative nature trail with display boards that are also interesting for children. Parking is available.

A very nice lap in great weather.
⚠️: the descent from the rock formation 🔨 -slust was improvised off-grid.

Ith Kammweg the second round. Lots of sun, lots of wind and a rain shower. 😂👍Really beautiful path, very varied, great rocks and views. I'd love to see more of this. 👍👍

Hiking boots have to be laced up once a weekend, so today we went back to the Ith. The start and finish was at the Ithkamm car park. This is usually very crowded, so you should be there early enough. Cross Ithstraße from the parking lot. Please be careful here, because both cars and motorcyclists are not exactly slow here …

This time I started at the Wasserbaum in Ockensen. Interesting how that came about with the tree, well described 👍🌳 So off we went up the road into the forest where I was halfway done. With an incline of 21% and a lung capacity equivalent to a bag of chips, no wonder... Or size, weight... Is the backpack too heavy? …

Ith hike in a group: It's pretty steep at the top of the ridge path and yes, be careful and walk carefully.
