Bamford Clough, reputedly one of, if not the steepest tarmac road in the UK.

Bamford Edge — Rocky Outcrop

Highlight • Viewpoint

Far end of Bamford Edge where it's possible to circle around the big rocks whilst taking in the magnificent views across the valley. This part is often overlooked as there's no view of the Dams.

View of Win Hill from the top of Bamford Clough which is supposed to be the steepest tarmaced path/Road in the country, walked up and down it and neither is easy, either toes in the front of your boots or lubgs bursting and leg muscles burning. All good fun though.

We were made to feel really welcome at the Angler's Rest, even arriving in January on our bikes when we were pretty muddy and wet.

It's warm and friendly, with great ales and a fab cafe menu too - the fish finger sandwiches were corking! For the summer there's a seating area outside where you could sit with your bikes.
