One of the 11 medieval field watchtowers in the town of Quedlinburg. The Sewecken watchtower was probably only built after the Quedlinburgs' victory over the Regensteins in the conflict of 1336. It was used to monitor the eastern Quedlinburg fields and probably also the activities of the Regensteins in the Gersdorf castle.
