All other Elbe ferries known to me (these are all ferries between Lauenburg and Wittenberge) are significantly more expensive (the ferry at Hitzacker costs the most: € 1.50 per person and € 1.30 per bike). The employees on the Elbe ferry Bleckede are always very nice when I e.g. Once I took the ferry from Bleckede to Neu Bleckede and had to go back to Bleckede shortly afterwards (to buy repair kit), the ferryman took me along free of charge (on the grounds that I was already unlucky enough today). I like to use this ferry again and again.
