Weissingkuppe Rock Labyrinth

Highlight • Natural Monument

Very nice hike over the meandering path. After the stairs go up the rock right side. It is a so-called mushroom rock: The heavy boulder sits on a base of small circumference. Fascinating.

Great paths. The Maximilian Grotto is really great.

A really simple route. But it was currently the best thing for everyone involved😉

Unfortunately there was a lot of zigzags, as I often go back and forth because there was so much to see.

Today we went into the forest for a short while, without taking any pictures, just enjoying nature, even if it feels like we've done this tour a hundred times 🙈 the route is always beautiful. Short, but also a bit challenging, ideal for switching off after work.

The Stone City is an impressive rock formation near Auerbach.
It consists of mighty rock massifs,
divided by crevices. This creates the impression of a city with towers
and individual buildings.

TWO BROTHERS,
two adjacent rock towers, between which
the path leads.

The phenomenon of mushroom rocks is also evident at the TWO BROTHERS.

Today, straight after work, we drove to the Maximiliansgrotte.
From there, we went to the Weißingkuppe, through the Stone City and then through the Vogelherdgrotte back to the car.
Actually a short tour of only 4.5 km, but still strenuous and with lots of highlights 🤗🤗🤗

Today, as part of my theme week, I went to the fourth cave, the Maximiliansgrotte near Krottensee. In this cave there is the largest stalactite in Germany, the iceberg, with a height of 6 meters. I was really excited, because my last visit was decades ago, the guided tours were still with carbide lamps and taking photos was out of …

A highlight in the region! The stone city - great rock formations and also an El Dorado for sport climbing. At just under 7km, the tour is just ok for kids and there are always exciting rocks to climb on, caves or beautiful paths, so there are rarely boring ones. There is also a playground at the parking lot in …
