Very nice pleasure tour with fantastic views of Kochelsee and Walchensee and the Zugspitze area. A bit crowded, as there is also a cable car leading to the mountain saddle. And so, even in winter conditions in high alpine terrain, you can see people with sneakers and handbags.

We walked from Kesselbergstrasse to the Herzogstandhaus and then on to the summit. On the way back we stopped at the Herzogstandhaus for lunch and then headed back on the same ascent path.
