View of Sheffield

Highlight • Viewpoint

Best view of the city, supposedly on a clear day you can see the humber bridge. Ive read that its the two towers thats are lit up red at night, to the right of the city.

An enjoyable way too drop into Hope Valley without going over the busy Ringinglow Rd. MTB, gravel or hybrid will be fine with the terrain. Amazing views, can be busy with walkers on sunny days.

Stanage Edge is an iconic gritstone escarpment that towers above the charming village of Hathersage to the south. It dominates the local area for miles around as it runs along high above for just about four miles (6 km) north to south. The views of it along the Dale Road are particularly good, and the stretch of road is pretty great too. All in all, a beautiful cycle ride.

Eyam — Plague Village

Highlight • Settlement

A pretty village with a small selection of shops and a cafe. During the Black of 1665/65 The villagers isolated themselves from the outside world. The nursery rhyme Ring of Roses was said to have originated from here. As one of the first symptoms of the plague, was a rose shaped rash on the cheek.

The Norfolk Arms Hotel

Highlight • Restaurant

Amazing pub on the crossroad between Sheffield and the Peak District.

It's cyclist and walker friendly, and is extremely popular with mountain bikers who use Lady Cannings and road cyclists returning from the Peaks.

Good selection of ales, and decent pub grub. The beer garden has great views over Sheffield and surrounding countryside. I can’t recommend it enough!

Carr Bridge singletrack

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

This track leads you from Forge Dam into the spectacular countryside on the outskirts of Sheffield, heading towards the Peak District. You can link to lots of other gravel trails nearby. It’s a great way of linking Endcliffe Park to the Peaks amid pretty countryside.
