In the central Plaza del Socorro there is also a statue of a half-naked man with two lions at his side and some columns behind him. The statue is Hercules. He is holding two lions. The coat of arms, flag and symbols of Andalusia were designed by Blas Infante.

Iglesia del Socorro de Ronda

Highlight • Religious Site

The church stands out for its neoclassical façade flanked by two bell towers. The Iglesia del Socorro, although not as old as other churches in Ronda, has a deep cultural and religious significance for the local community. The current structure was inaugurated in 1956, replacing an earlier church destroyed during the Spanish Civil War. Despite its relatively young age, the church continues the long tradition of veneration of the Virgin of Socorro in Ronda.

Iglesia de Santa Cecilia

Highlight • Religious Site

The Iglesia de Santa Cecilia is a beautiful church in Ronda, located on Calle Maria Cabrera. The church was originally built in 1663 as the Iglesia de los Trinitarios Descalzos and was the third home of the "Order of the Naked Trinitarians" of Ronda. The church is now known as the Parish Church of Santa Cecilia.
The church has an impressive Baroque entrance with paired Tuscan columns that surround both the main door and the upper window. The main door is surmounted by a papal cross.
The church has a cruciform interior with three naves, the central nave being the largest. The transept is covered by a dome decorated with painted scenes of various Trinitarian saints.
The church was abandoned by the order in 1836 and was later converted and reconsecrated as a replacement for the Iglesia de Santa Cecilia. The name has been retained ever since.
