"A small town becoming a capital" is what some travel guides we read in preparation for this tour say. That doesn't do Arrecife justice. We like this tranquil but fascinating place, where men meet at lunchtime on the harbor to play dominoes while school children row colorful boats under the historic drawbridge at the castle.

It was just too cold for me in Vienna. The constant sub-zero temperatures are not for me ;-). If humans were born for this, they would have fur :-)).

So off to the Canary Islands. In December 22 I was in Lanzarote until just before Christmas, I haven't explored part of the island yet, so off to Arrecife.
