Our first time being back in the Ahr valley after the floodings last year. It was bitter-sweet. So many wonderful memories and great adventures to be re-experienced, and at the same time just devastated by all the destruction that’s been caused to this beautiful region 😥 I hope they’re able to rebuild and restore everything… 🤞🏻Nevertheless, great to be back …
Made a beautiful but quite tough circular walk. A great training for our next challenge in May 🇵🇹 One with many beautiful views, just a shame that the sun didn't show much today.

This region is one of the smallest wine regions in the country. 87% is red wine and the rest is white wine 🍷 🍇
Also with beautiful …

This tour is one of my top tours on the Ahr. You can start in the Altenahr train station car park or in Mayschoss, train station car park. The tour is characterized by sensational views and a very high proportion of paths. In terms of elevation, you can expect 900 meters of elevation gain, Komoot is not right on that. …

A sporty walk through the heart of the Ahr Valley. A walk with many meters of altitude, then ascending again, then descending again, partly between the many vineyards.

We started our last hike in still great weather.
Enjoyed great views and got our bones moving again.
(Winter has left its mark😅)
Now that the vegetation is still very muted, the view through the forests is particularly good.
It's worth coming here!😃👍

A really great recommendation from someone on Komoot.
Lots of climbs, views, and a slightly autumnal vineyard atmosphere. It took me almost 6 hours to complete the 15km. I did a bit of scrambling at Teufelsley, but not all the way up to the cross, where I would have needed climbing gear. The appeal was there...but too dangerous!

Very varied round. Some stony paths, sure-footedness required. Demanding ups and downs. The hiker is spoiled with beautiful views of the Ahr and its villages. Refreshment stop in Altenahr. At the end of the round there is the opportunity to buy wine in the vinotheque of the winegrowers' cooperative.
