Neckar Riverside Cycle Path

Highlight • Cycleway

The path along the Neckar is a really beautiful and pleasant route. The trees offer a lot of shade, especially when it is quite hot.

Neckartal Cycle Path

Highlight • Cycleway

Very nice, well-developed cycle path along the Neckar. A large part of the path runs in the shade of large trees, it is asphalted throughout.

Downstream you have the beautiful Neckar meadows on the left and the less beautiful industrial complex of Neckarsulm on the right. There are no cars here, but there is a lot of bicycle traffic, especially on weekends and public holidays.

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

A great new cycle path along a company site, if only more cycle paths looked like this, that would be great

Underpass at Frießinger Mill

Highlight • Cycleway

A structure of the future – to prevent traffic from crossing the mill's ongoing operations with bicycle traffic, a "bridge" with a ramp was built from the loading area to the mill, which can be crossed on foot or by bicycle. There seems to be money available, but considering I've been there many times and have never encountered factory traffic, perhaps I've overshot the target.

A start, but it only makes sense once the bridge is started/completed.
On the other hand, a lot of nature has been and is being sacrificed.

The half-timbered house is very narrow overall, but becomes slightly wider towards the top.

May 31, 2022,von Heilbronn nach Bad Wimpfen - auf alten Wegen
A wonderful bike ride out of the city, always along the Necker, on wonderful bike paths. Bad Wimpfen is ABOVE, i.e. you end up doing a wonderful job for the muscles. There are two ways up. You can decide for yourself ;-) . Once at the top you arrive in the sweet old town center with cute little houses, shops …

Inspired by Wolfgang's tour to Lauffen yesterday, we tested the first section of the planned Bad Wimpfen-Horkheimer Schleuse fast cycle path today. It turned out great 👍 Today was the official opening.

I'm curious to see when construction will continue; there will probably be more construction sites and detours along the route. Will we still be cycling to see the …

Today I had Komoot plan a route to Obereisesheim - I've never cycled there on sidewalks that were so chaotic. Komoot always said "on the long-distance cycle path" but the cycle path was mostly a sidewalk "cyclists allowed" and on the left side🙈🙈🙈.

First a pizza in the Waldschenke and for dessert an ice cream in Neckarsulm.
