Lauenburg is always fine with the old houses down on the Elbe.... and has a great café "Von Herzen" with a view of the Elbe.

By the way, you can drive up to the bridge from the north. There is a trail across a field and you can continue the tour in the direction of Lauenburg via Buchhorst.
