Pedestrian bridge in the Westensee Nature Park

Highlight • Bridge

A very beautiful, but later very bumpy and sometimes muddy, path follows.
The bridge, by the way, seems to be intended more for walking.

Viewpoint with bench overlooking Westensee

Highlight • Viewpoint

Beautiful, wide view over the Westensee.
The path there is very easy to drive on (asphalt) and if you come from the right direction, it also goes downhill very nicely. ;)

If you choose the path through the nature reserve, you need an all-terrain bike and good balance, as some of the trails can be very muddy after the rain!

Beautiful tour along the Eider and between the Ahrensee / Westensee. Some inclines test the condition. A number of places invite you to linger. A few localities offer refreshments (Felde and Westensee). Route is mostly paved sand/gravel road. Many sections also provide enough shade.
